My Journey

Hi there!

My name is Caleb Harrier. I have been riding and training horses for over fifteen years now. I truly love working with horses and it is my passion.

My journey with the horse began when I was about thirteen years old. I was fascinated with this amazing animal while at my church camp. And so, for the next three summers, I served as a wrangler, working with a string of fourteen horses each summer.

During my teenage years, God brought along some very generous horse folks who let me ride and train their horses. And, in the course of time, I eventually met my mentor Jud Carter. He was an accomplished horseman who had learned under the world-renowned Ray Hunt. After seeing what Jud could do with a horse, I knew that I needed what he had. I became his apprentice a few months later and spent years learning everything that he knew. Jud taught me that experience is always the best teacher when it comes to working with horses.

In 2015, I won the Legacy of Legends scholarship that sent me out west to learn under some of the most experienced horse people in the world, including one of Ray's grandsons, Jaton Lord. Since that time, my journey with the horse has continued, and I'm always looking for the next one to work with.
